Costume
What will your characters wear? What is the costume supposed to communicate to the audience? (E.g. a school uniform quickly and easily tells the audience that the character is high-school age etc.)
My characters will wear normal sports appropriate outfits. This will correspond a message to the audience that the characters are healthy and enjoy playing sports as the outfits will show commitment.
Lighting
How will you light your scene? Is it day or night? Interior or exterior? If outside, can you use streetlights, shadows, reflected sunlight or other creative techniques to achieve the lighting style you want? If inside, experiment with blinds up and down, room lights on and off etc. The lighting is vital to create the right atmosphere for your advert and brand.
I aim to record the advert during the day time in a external location which will be a basketball court inside a local park.I want to create a dry but sweaty atmosphere in the advert with everything contributing to that.
Actors
The first thing you need to plan is your cast - who will be in your production and which character will they play? Try and cast people who are reasonably similar to the character they are playing (both in age and personality). Next, plan their placement and movement in key scenes from your script. Have you planned plenty of close-ups so the audience can 'get to know' the character in the short running time of the advert?
I will be having two characters both which are Asian which subverts the stereotype that Asian's only play cricket and not other sports. The people will be similar to the character they're playing both in age and personality.Their placement will be decided accordingly along with plenty of close-up shots to let the audience 'get to know' the character in the short running time of the advert.
Make-up
Plan any make-up you require - this may be very important in creating the right aspirational lifestyle for your chosen brand.
The characters won't require any make-up as the advert is based on a sports genre and body spray.
Props
What props will you require? Think about your narrative, brand and target audience.
The props required will be a basketball and the body spray, the basketball relates to the narrative as the advert is going to show the characters playing basketball. The basketball ball narrative will boost the target audience to be interested to watch the advert as many teenagers of that age aspire to be a professional basket-baller one day.
Setting
This should already be largely planned using your script. However, now is the time to specify exact locations. Try and take pictures of locations or use Google Maps and Google Earth if you're using locations outside of school (this is strongly recommended - AQA don't seem like productions that are shot in school).
This is the exact location where the advert is going to get recorded.

Statement of Intent: Feedback and learner response
1) Read your feedback carefully and then write a summary of it in your own words using WWW / EBI.
I need to develop my intro (settings) and why i chose the two settings specifically and how they link to each other. I also need to develop my audience section by promoting an aspirational and successful lifestyle for teenagers not about promoting the actual lynx brand.
2) Do you need to make any changes to your narrative? Why?
I don't need to make any changes to my narrative as i'm positive that it is convenient for the advert.]
3) How can you improve the use of media terminology in your Statement of Intent?
I can improve the media terminology in my statement by using more appropriate ones for every sentence that i write.
4) Representation and stereotyping was a weakness in some drafts. How will you address the key concept of representation in your next draft?
My section was really strong i don't need to address anything.
5) Finally, think about audience. Why would the target audience (14-18 year olds) enjoy your advert?
The target audience (14-18 year olds) will enjoy the advert because the advert contains an aspirational and successful lifestyle which shown through the character practising basketball.
